ENDED- FlameDisk Review and Giveaway

I packed my family in the car on a chilly Florida February morning to go to the beach for grilling so that we could test out FlameDisk. FlameDisk is a small, round, portable disk that replaces charcoal for grilling. It is perfect for small grills and grilling while hiking or camping. The Disk is very portable and it comes with matches. You peel off the top protective seal, light the disk and grill away. Go to the FlameDisk website for a really cool demo that shows you how it works. Here you can see how small and portable it is. We were able to put our FlameDisk along with everything else we needed in a Publix reusable bag:

Another cool thing about FlameDisk is that it is better for the environment than charcoal. It has far less Emissions. Go here for details.

We unfortunately ended up having to use a larger grill than we had planned. It is recommended to have two FlameDisks for the size grill we used, and we only had one. It still worked out fine, we just had to keep the food in a small area of the grill. Our food seemed came out wonderful and juicy. The Flame Disk also said that it lasts for 40 minutes, but we used ours for about an hour before we put it out. We made 2 cheeseburgers, 1 pack of hot dogs (8) and a can of baked beans on one FlameDisk.

Here are some pictures of our grilling experience:

The first two pictures were when we first lit the disk. It's a little hard to see it in the pictures, but there is a lot of flame coming out of the disk. The bottom picture with the cooked cheeseburger and can of beans is at the very end of our cooking when we were done. The FlameDisk was still going!

If you are only cooking for 1-2 people, or if you are grilling somewhere where you don't want to have to lug around a huge bag of charcoal, you should definitely use a Flame Disk!

Disclaimer: I received a FlameDisk to review. I did not receive any other compensation for this post. The opinions stated here are my own honest views. The first two pictures are curtosy of FlameDisk, the rest of the pictures were taken by me.

We do a ton of fishing in the Boundary Waters of Northern MN and you can't really bring a ton of stuff with you. This would be a super huge help. What a great idea!

Actually, for the same reason you mention in your story: we live half a mile from the lake and love to take picnics down there for a swim and to watch the sunset. We also love to BBQ. We would LOVE to grill at the beach - but it just seems like too much of a hassle. The FlameDisk would make it easy and enjoyable. Great concept - great prize!

We go to concerts during the summer and like to tailgate prior to the show. This would be so much easier than carrying bags of charcoal with us.
