Money & Marriage by Matt Bell Review and Blog Tour

We all know that money problems cause fights, problems and even divorces in marriages. Matt Bell has the solution in his new book Money and Marriage: A Complete Guide for Engaged and Newly Married Couples. I am not engaged, and I am not really considered a newlywed (almost 4 years now), and really I don't even fight with my Husband about money, but I can ALWAYS use financial advice. So, I decided to see if this book could give us some much needed help.

Bell won me over right away by talking about his personal fights with his Wife. It is great to know that the person writing the book has actually been there. Throughout the book he teaches you not only why you may fight about money, but the factors that influence your finances and how to get out of debt and on the right track. I love that he has numerous charts and checklists to help you see things clearer. He even has recommended spending guides and housing guides at the end of the book (boy are we WAY off). I have wanted to start a budget for awhile now and I think that Matt Bell has given me the advice and motivation to do so. He particularly taught me a lot about managing my credit score (which is something that I really needed to know at the age of 18).

If you are engaged or a newlywed then Bell includes a lot of great information about combining your finances and even changing your name (you will want this information ladies!). Regardless of your relationship status, there is more than enough excellent financial advice in this book to make it worth buying for anyone.

I mentioned in the title that this is part of a Blog Tour. You can go here to read more information and to visit all of the blogs involved. Below is some information about the book and a giveaway that Matt Bell has (all of the below text was supplied for me):

Matt Bell's (a.k.a Matt About Money) Money & Marriage has just released (NAVPress) and is a great resource for engaged or newly married couples.

Matt says about the book, “I wrote “Money and Marriage” because I believe in marriage. I’m sure it isn’t news to you that money is a very common source of stress between spouses. It’s even a primary factor in many divorces. I wrote this book with no less of a goal than to save many marriages from disaster, and to help all couples use money in a way that strengthens their relationship and increases their joy.”

To celebrate Matt has put together a Nest Egg Giveaway with a prize package worth over $250!
