Everclear at Seminole Hard Rock Cafe Review

I was lucky enough to see Everclear at Seminole Hard Rock Cafe in Tampa on Thursday night. This was my first time seeing Everclear live even though I have been listening to them for about 15 years. I admit that I had high expectations for this concert and Everclear did not disappoint me!

Everclear played all of my favorites including "Santa Monica", "Wonderful", "AM Radio", "Father of Mine", "I Will Buy You a New Life" and "Heroin Girl". The thing that sets Everclear apart from a lot of other bands that I have seen is that they played their songs with a lot of style. Art Alexakis threatened to umm...steal (not exactly what he said, but lets keep in PG) your girlfriend, they had the crowd clapping and jumping, they pulled audience members up on stage to perform along with them (the male audience member was pretty good too! The two Ladies were an embarrassment, but entertaining.) and Art did introductions of the band members and allowed them to show off their skills by playing classic rock songs. They did an amazing job with the various songs they covered too (including Queen and Lynyrd Skynyrd).

Everclear was very interactive with the audience and had an amazing stage presence. In my opinion, these two qualities are what makes a great performance. They are now among my top "best live performers" and I have seen A LOT of bands. Art and Dave French also stayed and signed autographs for the crowd. I was able to meet them both and they were incredibly sweet and humble. I did take a picture with them, but I am not sharing it since I look awful! : ) If you get a chance to see Everclear, definitely do not pass it up. It is guaranteed to be a night to remember. Here are some pictures of their performance:

They were so much fun! The venue was great too. Everclear definitely tested the speakers at the Seminole Hard Rock Cafe. We were standing on the right hand side of the floor close to the stage and you could feel the vibrations from the bass. It was also super loud. Don't worry, if you don't like loud concerts (what is the matter with you? Lol) then it is remedied by going up to the dining area and you will still have a great view. I love how close and personable concerts are at the Hard Rock Cafe and I can't wait for more!

Speaking of another concert, The Seminole Hard Rock Cafe in Tampa will have Joan Jett and The Blackhearts on July 13th! Tickets are $45 and can be purchased from the Hard Rock store or Ticketmaster. Doors open at 9pm and the concert starts at 10pm. Buy your tickets now!

Disclaimer: I received free tickets to the Everclear concert in exchange for this review. I was not compensated in any other way. All opinions here are 100% my own.
