Newtons Fruit Thins: Cranberry Citrus Oat Review

Newtons have always been one of my favorite brands of cookies. They make cookies that taste great but are healthier for you than most other brands. They recently released a new cookie: Newtons Fruit Thins. The Fruit Thins are available in Cranberry Citrus Oat, Blueberry Brown Sugar, Chocolate Raspberry and Fig and Honey.

I was sent the Cranberry Citrus Oat Fruit Thins to try. This would not have been my first choice on flavors, but I do like both Cranberry and Citrus. These cookies are thin, light, crispy cookies with chunks of cranberries. These cookies are good! They are light enough and healthy enough to where you don't have to feel guilty for eating them (well, unless you eat the entire bag). I love that they are only about 7 carbs and less than 3 grams of sugar each. This means that I can eat one or two and still be within the restrictions of my low carb diet. To be realistic, most people will eat more than 1-2 cookies, but 1-2 is still a treat for me and it can fit into my diet! They are also low in fat and calories. I do kind of wish that Newtons had made them chewy. I think these flavors would be amazing in a chewy cookie. The nice thing about the Cranberry Citrus Oat flavor is that the cranberries can be slightly chewy. Yum. I can't wait to try the Blueberry Brown Sugar next!

If you like cookies, then you have to try out the new Newtons Fruit Thins. The fact that they are made with real fruit and healthy is an added bonus, but these cookies stand on their taste alone. Let me know what you think!
