LongHorn Steakhouse Review & $30 Gift Card Giveaway

Through October 16th LongHorn Steakhouse has a great deal: Steakhouse Dinner for Two for only $29.99. This dinner allows you and your loved one to choose two salads, two entrees and one appetizer or dessert to share. I love that you don't have to share the salad and the entree. My Husband and myself have very different tastes when it comes to entrees, particularly at a steak restaurant. My Husband loves steak and would eat it every night if he could. I on the other hand, prefer chicken. I actually grew up eating at LongHorn Steakhouse quite often because it is my Father's favorite restaurant.

Here are the options for the Steakhouse Dinner for Two:

The first thing our waitress brought us was their yummy honey-wheat bread:

I love this stuff and could eat it for a meal by itself! The best part is the center which is really soft and flavorful. Next, we got our salads:

The mixed green salad

The Caesar salad

I went with the mixed greens salad and Hubby got the Caesar salad. Both of the salad's were delicious. His had beautiful freshly shaved Parmesan cheese on top of it. My salad had finally chopped tomatoes and cucumbers with shredded cheddar cheese on top. Both of the salads had what tasted like homemade croutons. They were yummy. We decided to share an appetizer for our next part of our meal. We picked the Firecracker Chicken Wraps:

We were served 8 of the Firecracker Chicken Wraps, but someone couldn't wait for me to take a picture. : )

I was really surprised that it was a full sized appetizer. I have ordered a shared dinner at other restaurants and the appetizers are a lot smaller. The LongHorn Steakhouse Dinner for Two is a lot of food! We had never tried the Firecracker Chicken Wraps before, but we thought they sounded interesting. They were really good. They are chicken and cheese wrapped in flour tortillas and fried. The have an Avocado sauce drizzled over top of them that complimented them perfectly. The chicken is supposed to be spicy, but the wraps don't taste spicy. They are definitely something that I would order again.

For my entree I picked the Grilled Chicken and Stuffed Portabella with a sweet potato with butter and brown sugar for my side. My Husband picked the 8 oz. Roasted Garlic and Onion Sirloin with a stuffed baked potato:

My Grilled Chicken and Stuffed Portabella

Hubby's 8 oz. Roasted Garlic and Onion Sirloin

As I mentioned earlier, I have been ordering chicken from LongHorn's for most of my life. The Grilled Chicken and Stuffed Portabella is definitely the best chicken entree I have tried so far. The Portabella is huge and covered in cheese. The chicken was big and cooked perfectly. The best part though was the amazing sauce (which had more mushrooms in it). I picked the sweet potato covered in butter and brown sugar as my side. If you have never had a potato at LongHorn's, you are missing out. They have the best loaded sweet and baked potatoes. My sweet potato was perfectly cooked and the butter and brown sugar makes it irresistible. Hubby liked his food as well. Since I don't like steak and he isn't very descriptive, the most I can tell you is that "it's good" and it all disappeared. : )

This was definitely a lot of food and a great deal for $29.99. I actually had to take half of my entree home because I was too full to eat it all. This promotion makes for a great date night. Hurry to LongHorn Steakhouse before October 16th to try it for yourself.
