Dove Nourishing Oil Care Collection Review and Giveaway

Dove is a brand that I have always loved. So, I am always thrilled to hear about them releasing new products! Their latest new products are their Nourishing Oil Care Collection. This includes Shampoo, Conditioner (regular and daily treatment conditioner), Leave-In Cream and Anti-Frizz Serum.

My hair has been driving me crazy every since I highlighted it last September. My hair has always been straight, super soft and slightly oily. Since I had it highlighted, it has been stiff, hard to brush and super dry. The new Dove line arrived at the perfect time for me! Here are the product descriptions:

-Shampoo: A unique blend with non-greasy natural almond and mineral oils that are so fine, they are rapidly absorbed to deeply nourish and replenish essential nutrients. It’s next generation nourishment for beautifully smooth, soft, shiny hair

-Conditioner: A unique blend with non-greasy natural almond and mineral oils that are so fine, they are rapidly absorbed to deeply nourish and replenish essential nutrients. It’s next generation nourishment for beautifully smooth, soft, shiny hair.

-Daily Treatment Conditioner:  Dual-action formuation: For 3X the nourishing power of our regular conditioner. White Stripe–Contains conditioner that seals cuticles to lock in nutrients and smooth frizz. Gold Stripe–With Weightless Nutri-Oils, deeply nourishes and replenishes essential nutrients without a greasy feel. Instant deep nourishing power of a treatment in the time of a conditioner for amazing smoothness, softness and shine.

-Leave-in Smoothing Cream:  Ultra-light nourishing formulation: Controls frizz and boosts shine even in humid conditions with Weightless Nutri-Oils:
• Smoothes uplifted cuticles that cause frizz.
• Deeply nourishes without feeling greasy so hair is easier to manage and style

-Antifrizz Serum: Instantly smooth frizz and revitalize shine without weighing hair down. Best used as a pre blow-dry primer, or touch-up tool—this lightweight formula, featuring Weightless Nutri-Oils, absorbs instantly to nourish and tame even the most unruly hair.

Honestly, I did not know what to expect. Since my hair has always been oily, I have avoided collections like this that have oil in them and moisturize. I knew that I needed more oil in my hair, but I didn't want it to feel slick and gross. For my first time using Dove Nourishing Oil I used just the shampoo and conditioner. I was instantly amazed! My hair was so easy to brush and so much softer. It also smelled really good. I used just the shampoo and conditioner for a few days before adding in other products and switching out the conditioner one at a time. I wanted to make sure that I knew which products were effecting my hair in which way.

The Daily Treatment Conditioner is similar to the conditioner, but it makes my hair slightly softer. In my opinion, either conditioner would be great for daily use. I will probably stick mostly to the regular conditioner just because it comes in a bigger bottle. The Leave-in Smoothing Cream is also really amazing. Just a small amount of it makes my hair turn super silky and a breeze to brush. The only think I don't like about it is that the cream rushes out and I always end up having to waste some of it. You only need a tiny amount. I recommend not turning it completely upside down. I like the Smoothing Cream on days where my hair is particularly bad.

Last but not least is the Antifrizz Serum. This serum makes your hair even more shiny, soft and takes care of frizz. I do wish I could apply this to my roots too since that is where my frizz is normally the worst. I like this product a lot too, but the Nourishing Oil Shampoo and Conditioner really took care of my frizz by itself. If your hair is really frizzy, you should check this product out.

I love the new Dove Nourishing Oil Care Collection! This is now my shampoo and conditioner of choice. I will also continue to use and buy the Leave-in Smoothing Cream since my hair is so tough to brush. If you want soft, smooth, shiny and beautiful hair that smells great, try Dove Nourishing Oil Care products.
