15 Reasons to Join Klout

You have probably heard of Klout by now. They are an awesome website that determines how influential you are & in what categories. You then can sign up for "perks" based on your Klout score and influential topics. You can also give your friends +K in topics you think that they are influential. Need a reason to check Klout out? Here are 15 products that I have received (or will be receiving) completely FREE:

Three jars of new Planters Nutrition Peanut Butter
A bottle of the newest Essie: mirror metallics
$35 in Live Nation cash to use towards concerts or merchandise (some people received $100!)
Free $30 Shutterfly photo book (had to pay shipping for this one)
Free BOX (not pack...a whole box) of Trident Layers
Four pack of Red Bull Zero
Bottle of Essie from their new summer collection- I got the orange one...so pretty!
packs (10 I believe) of Lipton Tea & Honey + coupons
$10 Visa Card
TWO tubes of RoC® RETINOL CORREXION® Deep Wrinkle Night Cream
Neutrogena Rapid Wrinkle Repair
Veet Ready-to-use Wax Strips
Simple’s Cleansing Facial Wipes and Replenishing Rich Moisturizer
The Adventures of Tin Tin DVD and free bag of Purina Dog Chow
Three full sized gud products in three different scents: lotion, body wash & spray
Other things I have received include: Essie LuxeEffects, $10 Subway gift card, discounts to multiple sites, MOO Business Cards, Axe hair gel, Two Degrees nutrition bars, ebooks, the Red Bulletin Magazine, a cookbook, Home Run pizza, Aveeno wipes, etc.

These are just 15 of the many Perks that I have received since I have been with Klout. They almost always send full size free products (not samples), and often multiple products. They are also often products that are not yet for sale or brand new. You are not obligated to do anything once you receive the product. You can tweet or talk about it if you like it, but you don't have to. You also do not have to be a blogger or always on twitter/ facebook to get these freebies. Your Klout score is based on your social media accounts. My little brother who occasionally posts to Facebook and does not have a twitter has a score of 43. You do have to have a minimum score for some perks. I am generally 45-50 and can receive most perks. There will also be some perks that are not available for all locations, so don't get frustrated if you can't get a perk.

TIPS:

*Check Klout daily on weekdays if possible. New perks are released all the time & they are not always announced. Perks do fill up, so stay on top of your account.
*Make sure your topics are topics that will get you perks. If you love Batman and always tweet about it, that is great. However, it won't get you perks if your topics are: Batman, Gotham, Robin, etc. You need generalized topics companies will look for: Beauty, Food, Fashion, Health, Books, Music, etc. For some perks you have to add brands to your topics (Redbull and Trident recently).
*You can use 5 +K to add a topic to your list. Search for the topic and click the blue "add topic" button in the top right hand corner of the topic page. I sometimes add a topic if I see a perk I want and I qualify other than the topic.
*You get 5 +K (Klout) daily, you get an additional +K every time someone gives you Klout (up to 10 in your account at once). You want to give and get Klout to increase your influence in a topic. Sometimes you have to have medium influence to receive perks for that topic.

Feel free to ask any questions and I will answer them. Don't miss out on anymore perks, join Klout now!
