Bulu Box Review + iTrain Gift Card Giveaway

You already know that I am addicted to subscription boxes (see my Battle of the Sample Box and Goodies posts), but did you know that I have also changed around my eating habits? Since February 2nd I have cut sugar and most carbs out of my diet. I found out that I was Diabetic and it gave me the push to do what I have been wanting to do for awhile now: get healthier. I learned about Bulu Box and the timing could not have been better. Bulu Box is a vitamin, supplement and health subscription box. It cost $10/month and it comes in two different variations:

Bulu Box: As the first and only vitamin and supplement sample box, this box includes a well-rounded sampling of vitamins and supplements that help in all areas of health. Each box contains 4 to 5 premium samples plus lifestyle extras from time to time. Every box is a feel good discovery.
Bulu Box Weight Loss: As the first and only weight loss subscription box, this box was designed with the specific goal of weight loss in mind. Each box contains 4 to 5 premium weight loss items such as vitamin and supplement samples, fitness gear and healthy eating tools. Discover products to help you succeed with weight loss.
Bulu Box also has a point reward system where you earn points for taking surveys about the products you receive (You also get points just for filling out your profile!). You can get at least 50 points ($5) per month by doing these surveys and ordering the box (you get 10 points just for receiving the box). You then use the points to buy full size versions of the products you love from your boxes.
I received the March Bulu Box to try out.

In my box I received the following (please note that the statements below are from Bulu Box and they have not been evaluated by the FDA):

*QSpeed CoQ10 100mg- A delicious, natural-orange flavored, sugar-free, fast-melt tablet formulated with CoQ10. CoQ10 provides heart health support, improves exercise performance and increases cellular energy ($24.95/40 tablets).

*Redd Remedies atEASE PM- Anxiety and nervous tension are some main causes of restlessness. atEASE has a blend of natural ingredients that help you relax naturally and enjoy better sleep ($25.99/50 capsules).

*iTrain Dowloadable Workout $50 Gift Card- Jam-pack your MP3 player with workouts from the premiere source for downloadable fitness programs featuring the best music and top celebrity trainer voice-overs.

*Dream Water in Pineapple PM- Three natural ingredients help you sleep easily: GABA helps you relax, Melatonin induces sleep and 5-HTP improves sleep quality. Drink 20-40 minutes before bed ($14.99/4 pack).

*Prolab Quick Fire- Push your workout to the next level. Each dose fuels the body with a surge of nitric-oxide-induced blood flow, supplying nutrients to fuel muscle contractions and promote vascularity ($10.99/10 servings).

*AeroShot Energy- AeroShot Energy is an airbased shot of energy delivering a unique powdered blend of B vitamins plus 100mg of caffeine that starts working right away -anytime, anyplace ($2.99/shot).

I was pretty happy with this box. If I had payed $10 I would have felt satisfied. I was really excited to receive the Dream Water and the AeroShot because I had tried and loved both of these products previously. These were new-to-me flavors. I loved the Raspberry AeroShot. It kind of was like inhaling Raspberry flavored sugar (only it was sugar free! Score!). The Pineapple Dream Water I did not like the flavor. It tasted kind of like Pineapple and Mint mixed together. Not that pleasant. Fortunately, it still worked great and I slept like a baby. My Husband wanted in on the action, so he tried the atEASE PM. He slept really well that night and did not get up until the alarm went off. It was pretty successful. The QSpeed increased my energy and tasted delicious. I wish all of my vitamins tasted like orange candy and melted in my mouth. I am on the fence about the Prolab Quick Fire. It may be because I can not do any truly harsh workouts due to my physical condition (herniated disc in my lower back, metal in my leg, replaced discs in my neck). It may work better for people that run and do intense cardio. I just walk and do a stationary bike. I also didn't have a lot of use for the $50 iTrain gift card. I am not really a fan of workout videos and due to my limitations I can't do a lot of them. The iTrain gift card was listed as an extra bonus.

The inside of the description booklet also had 5 exercises that you can do anywhere. Vitamins and Supplements are expensive and while some of them need more than one dose before you know whether or not they truly work, I enjoyed trying the Bulu Box. I would be curious to try the Weight Lose box and see what comes in it. For $10 a month, I think it is a great box (especially considering you gain back at least have your money in points).
