7 Beers of Christmas!

Hello! I hope that you are all having a wonderful Holiday week. I wanted to take a moment and share a neat idea with you. This Christmas I was trying to think of a way of incorporating one of my Husband's favorite things into a Christmas gift: Belgian Beer. It would be lame to wrap a bottle of beer and I wanted to do something really special. So, I came up with the idea to do "7 Beers of Christmas".

You can do this with any type of beer or even wine. I purchased 9 bottles of beer because I wanted to give him a trio of his favorites for Christmas Night. I then cut out "labels" by using craft scissors and colored paper. On one side of the label I wrote days 1-7. On the other side I left little hints about the beer such as "a different version from a favorite brand". I avoided writing the word "beer" in case he discovered the bags before Christmas. I then wrapped the beer in tissue paper and placed each one in a Christmas bag. I used ribbon to attach the label and hold the handles shut to avoid peeking.

Here are the beers that I gave him:

Day 1- Ommegang Scythe & Sickle
Day 2- St. Sebastiaan Grand Reserve
Day 3- Wittekerke Winter White Ale
Day 4- Smuttynose Zinneke
Day 5- Scuttlebutt Weizenbock
Day 6- Delirium Noel
Day 7- Chimay Blue, Delirium Tremens, Hoegaarden

Did you come up with any neat ideas for giving gifts this year? I would love to hear about them!

Great idea! My husband is a beer drinker too. I may have to steal this idea for next year. And Delirium Tremens is a favorite.
