Save Money on Tickets with ScoreBig

Have you heard of ScoreBig? I admit that until recently I had heard of them, but I had never checked out their website. Their website is different from other deal websites I have been to in the way that you get the tickets. You choose your price and they either accept or deny it. I had no idea what I had been missing out on! Now that I know, I just keep thinking about all of the money I could have saved in the last few years on Tampa Bay Rays (MLB) tickets, The Tampa Bay Lightning (NHL) tickets, concert tickets and even tickets to our local theme parks like Busch Gardens.

ScoreBig offered me a $100 discount code in exchange for a review. I first checked out the concerts that they have listed. I do wish they had more concerts available. There are only two and they are not in my favorite genre. Next I checked out Rays and Lightning tickets. I am a huge fan of both teams. They have tons of games listed for both (I believe they have all the home games listed). They also have tickets for Busch Gardens, Adventure Island and the new Legoland in Winterhaven, FL. There area also some tickets that were not available due to the time of year or my location such as NFL, NBA, Broadway, Theater and more. I decided to go to a Tampa Bay Rays game.
We have started a tradition the last few years of going to the 2nd game of the season. I pulled up the ScoreBig website and started looking at tickets. I quickly found that I could use my $100 credit to get a pair of AMAZING seats right behind home plate. S-C-O-R-E...Big. These tickets regularly cost around $143. We received them for $100 and I could have probably received them for even less. Since I had a $100 code, I didn't try to get them any cheaper. Our seats are in section 105 in the 2nd row:

SECTION 105!! Just to the left of home plate. I am SO thrilled for the game tonight! Here are some quick facts about ScoreBig and then I will walk you through the process of getting tickets.

  • You are guaranteed to save on each and every ticket on ScoreBig.com
  • Tickets for sports, concerts, theater, Broadway, family shows, and attractions
  • No fees - free delivery
  • Choose Your Seating Area - all seats ordered together will be next to each other
  • Tell us what you want to pay - you have all the control, it’s thrilling!
  • Get an instant answer - you find out right away if your offer has been accepted

This is how it works. Choose your city and then pick your event from the top drop down menu.

Pick your date if applicable and click on "Find Tickets".

You will see all of the available options. Our seats were considered "5-Star". You can get the cheapest seats in the 1-Star area. I even looked at some future games and they had the ridiculously expensive seats in the front row (6 star) and the Hancock Bank Club. We ordered our tickets about a week before the game and there were a lot of options. Now you pick your seating area and click "Make Offer".

This will bring up the bidding section. You type in your price and the bar at the bottom will tell you how likely they are to accept the offer. If it is in the red, they are less likely. If it is in the green, there is a pretty good chance they will accept your price. As you can see, you can probably get these $71.72 tickets for $50 each. If you would like, you could try for a lower price. Here is what a $40 per ticket price looks like.

So, there is a good chance they will accept the $40 price. That is $31.72 off PER ticket! That is over a $63 savings for a pair of tickets!! If they do not accept your offer, you will have to wait for 24 hours before offering a new price. If you order your tickets well in advance you will be able to get them at the absolute lowest price! You will not know exactly where your seats are when you bid, you will just know they are in the colored section (see the purple in the above picture). However, my seats ended up being super close to home plate. So, I think they give you the best seats available. It is certainly worth the risk in my opinion.

note: we DID receive our tentative seats

After you submit your bid you will be informed if they accepted it or denied it and your card will be charged if they accept it. You will then receive a confirmation and they will let you know there are three ways your tickets are to be sent: mail, email or will call. I received an email a day or so later telling me my tickets would be emailed. I then received an email a day later with a link to download. I had my tickets printed off in a few minutes.

I will definitely be using ScoreBig a lot in the future! We used to live by the Trop and buy our tickets at the window. Since we moved out of the city, we now normally buy our tickets online through the Rays and Ticketmaster which involves extra fees. I love that ScoreBig does not have any fees! Also, if you are wondering if the prices are raised on ScoreBig before you bid, they are not. I compared several prices and the prices with fees on the Rays website are about the same prices as the ScoreBig website before you bid. So, you definitely end up saving a lot of money. ScoreBig is definitely my new favorite website.

*Disclaimer: I received a $100 ScoreBig credit in exchange for this post. I was not compensated in any other way. All opinions are completely my own.

This is great! Thanks so much for sharing. I wish there were more concerts available too! That would come in handy this summer with all our rock concerts lined up.
