#Uncorked Ventures Wine Club

*sponsored

What is better than a bottle of wine? How about a club that delivers TWO bottles of wine to your doorstep every month! That's right, there is a wine subscription club. Uncorked Ventures is a family owned and operated start-up based just outside of San Francisco. The family spends time in wine country getting to know winemakers, vineyard owners, farmers and others directly involved in the creation of the wine.

Uncorked Ventures has three different subscription plans which can be shipped monthly, every other month, quarterly or just a one time shipment. You can also pay for 3, 6 or 12 months at once. Here are the plans:

Explorations Wine Club ($40 per shipment):
-2 bottles of wine - 1 red and 1 white
-Discounts on re-orders
-The best quality wine club under $100
-Monthly newsletter detailing featured wines, wineries and winemakers
-10% off all purchases from the Uncorked Ventures online store
-First dibs on all last call wines, before they are offered to the public

Special Collections Wine Club ($95 per shipment):
-2 Bottles of red wine - limited production, high demand boutique wines
-Discounts on re-orders
-The best quality wine club under $100
-Monthly newsletter detailing featured wines, wineries and winemakers

Reserve Collections Wine Club ($195 per shipment):
-2 Bottles of red wine - limited production, high demand boutique wines
-Discounts on re-orders
-The best quality wine club under $100
-Monthly newsletter detailing featured wines, wineries and winemakers

The descriptions of the plans are similar, but the wines are higher quality and harder to obtain with the Reserve Collections Wine Club. All of the plans feature wine that has been rated 90+ point quality. So, you are guaranteed to receive a great wine.

I was sent one bottle of red wine from the Special Selections Wine Club: 2010 RTW Vintner's Blend from Vin Roc in Napa Valley (14.7% abv). This wine retails for $49. According to the website, it is the wine that Vin Roc serves when friends and family come to visit. How cool is that? I was unable to find exactly what was in this proprietary Vintner's blend.

My Husband and I enjoyed the wine with a romantic Italian dinner one night. We REALLY enjoyed it. This wine is much better than the wine that we typically buy. It was extremely smooth. It was dry with just a slight aftertaste. Unlike cheap wine, this aftertaste was actually pleasant. It made my tongue tingle slightly. Very, very good wine.

Thanks to Uncorked Ventures for treating me to a bottle of AMAZING wine. This is definitely the type of subscription service I would love to receive as a gift. Make sure that you check them out and sign up the wine lovers in your live. You won't regret it!

*Disclaimer: I received one or more of the products mentioned above for free using Tomoson.com. Regardless, I only recommend products or services I use personally and believe will be good for my readers.

I love wine but my brother is such a wine snob, I think I will share this post with him.

Well this is going on my Christmas list. Wine was an acquired taste for me, and now that i've finally acquired the taste, I am very interested in trying all different kinds of new wines.

Such a great gift idea for winos! I'm allergic to alcohol, so I never really understood the allure of wine and why people love it so much. My mother would love this set, maybe for Christmas.
